Apophis' host, a man from ancient Egypt, was taken by the Goa'uld symbiote known as Apophis.
Biography
Background information
He was once a scribe in the Temple of Amun at Karnak, with a wife and children before being used as a host. For thousands of years, he endured an unending nightmare, his mind trapped within his body and longing for release. (SG1: "Serpent's Song")
1999
When Apophis escaped from Sokar in 1999, the host, for perhaps the first time in millennia, was able to take control and told SG-1 of his torture. Moments before he died, Daniel Jackson performed an Egyptian ritual whereby the host's soul would be preserved in a Shabti statue and returned to Egypt. However, his nightmare began again as Sokar revived Apophis with a sarcophagus. (SG1: "Serpent's Song", "The Devil You Know")
2001
Two years later, in 2001, Apophis' Ha'tak eventually crashed onto Delmak which not only ended Apophis' life but that of his host, finally putting an end to the host's suffering. (SG1: "Enemies")
