Rapid Crab

The Rapid Crab^[1] (ラピッドクラブ^[2], Rapiddokurabu^?) is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, crab-based Badnik model serving Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega.

Appearance

The Rapid Crabs resemble fairly standard crab Badniks, such as the Crabmeat and GamiGami. They have red armor with a gray underbelly and four legs with red tips. They also have small black eyes and long pincers with gray finger tips.

Overview

In Sonic Rush Adventure, the Rapid Crabs appear as enemies. They are encountered in Coral Cave, Hidden Island 4, Hidden Island 8 and Hidden Island 11.

In gameplay, the Rapid Crabs scuttle back and forth on their own. When the player approaches however, they will stop and start thrusting their claws into the air for a few seconds before resuming their scuttling. While they trust their claws into the air, the player will take damage should they attempt to attack them from above with a Spin Jump/Axel Jump. However, they are easily dispatched with a Super Boost/Fire Boost.

Powers and abilities

The Rapid Crabs possess sharp claws that can deal some serious damage.
