Kaizoku Hover Bomb

The Kaizoku Hover Bomb^[1] (海賊ホバーボム^[2], Kaizoku Hobā Bomu^?, lit. "Pirate Hover Bomb") is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, pirate-based Badnik model serving Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega.

Appearance

Kaizoku Hover Bombs resemble the Egg Pawns and Eggrobos, having a very similar stocky body builds and head shape, though their faces resemble those of skeletons. They possess a red body with a white line going down the middle. They also have short silver legs and white arms with two purple rings around their wrists. Kaizoku Hover Bombs possess as well jet packs on their backs which emit purple flames.

Overview

In Sonic Rush Adventure, the Kaizoku Hover Bombs appear as enemies. They are encountered in Pirates' Island.

In gameplay, the Kaizoku Hover Bombs will fly around with bombs in their hands, making them hard to reach in most cases, unless the player makes use of the Spin Jump/Axel Jump to reach them. As their means of attacking the playable character, they will thrown an endless supply of bombs at them when they approach them.

Powers and abilities

Kaizoku Hover Bombs are capable of flight and can spawn spiked bombs which they can toss as projectiles.

Variants

Kaizoku Hover Gunner

Main article: Kaizoku Hover Gunner

The Kaizoku Hover Gunner is a green variant of the Kaizoku Hover Bomb that is armed with a gun instead of a bomb. They have only appeared in Sonic Rush Adventure.
