The Kyura[1] (キュラ[2]?) is an enemy that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a mass-produced, wing-shaped Badnik created by Dr. Eggman.

The Kyuras are bizarre, winged Badniks, with their limbs and bodies being entirely triangular, as well as having two strange blue holographic protrusions.

Overview

The Kyuras only appear in Sonic Advance 2, where they can be exclusively found in Techno Base. In gameplay, Kyuras are constantly fluttering and flashing between static to move around (as if it were constantly teleporting). They will also occasionally fire a laser aimed downwards that can damage the player. Like most Badniks, Kyuras are easily destroyed with a Spin Jump or Spin Dash. Upon destruction, they will release an Animal.

Trivia

  • The Kyura's name is derived from kyuuraku, meaning "sharp drop."
