Based off of tortoises, Kouras sport a large cyan shell, a gray head and body, and four black wheels. The shell is divided into two parts separated by a visible gap. Some Kouras feature jet boosters instead of wheels.
Overview
The Kouras make their only appearance in Sonic Advance 2, where they appear exclusively in Hot Crater. In gameplay, the Kouras slowly drive back and forth, but make no active effort to attack the player. If the player lands on their shell, the upper part will rocket upwards, bouncing the them in a similar manner to a spring. Certain Kouras can be found hovering in the air rather than driving on solid ground, though their attack pattern bears no difference from the regular models. Both versions of these Badniks can be easily defeated using any non-jump attack. Upon their destruction, a Koura will release an Animal.
