Frogger

Frogger (フロッガー^[1], Furoggā^?) is an enemy that appears in Sonic Chaos. It is a mass-produced, frog-based Badnik model created by Dr. Robotnik.

Appearance

The Froggers resemble blue frogs with a violet underbelly, a pair of black eyes and yellow disks at the corners of their mouths. They also possess a pair of Springs attached to their jackhammer-like feet.

Overview

Froggers are only encountered in Sleeping Egg Zone, where they hop ceaselessly forward. They do not have any proactive offense other than having the player take damage by somehow colliding with them.

The player can easily defeat the Frogger using a Spin Jump or Spin Attack. Like every Badnik in Master System/Game Gear games, they do not have Animals as energy sources.

Trivia

• The Froggers are similar to the earlier Bata-Pyon from Sonic the Hedgehog CD and later the Bunny from Sonic 3D Blast.
• In the game, the Froggers' Spring feet are miscolored blue and yellow as opposed to red in their official artwork.
