Description

Terry jumps and spins his whole body forward with his leg extended while shouting "Crack Shoot!" or "Kick back!". The version is fast and hits only once, while the is slower but hits between 2-3 hits.

Across games, it may or may not knockdown on hit, or even hit overhead.

Starting with The King of Fighters XIII, Crack Shoot gains an EX Special Move variant, which allows it to deal more damage with better frame data. Starting with The King of Fighters XIV, it can cause a ground bounce, and is considered an overhead whereas the base version is not.

Strategy

Terry's other forward-advancing special aside from Burn Knuckle. Although it's incapable of canceling into other moves, it is a good combo ender.

Heavily depending on the game, it may be one of the few overhead-hitting options he has, which leads into his rather committal-yet-inconsistent high-low mixup game. The version introduced as of KOF XIII is the only overhead Terry has.

Even then, it's more so a thorough low-crushing tool that helps Terry advance on his foe, especially since it can hop over attacks more effectively than Burn Knuckle can. Also unlike Burn Knuckle, it's normally more safe on block if properly spaced, on top of having potent counter hit effects that can put the victim in a compromising position and/or help reset neutral, depending on what kind of hit effect Crack Shoot provides.
