Shopkeeper

The Shopkeeper is a minor character in The Hero of the Story.

Biography

The shopkeeper is known to have offered a thirteen-year-old runaway Lemony Snicket a job sweeping the sidewalk, but then claimed he hadn't done it well enough and taken her broom back. When Snicket is arrested that night, he imagines the shopkeeper is probably home in bed.^[1]
