Earnest is a playable male centaur knight character in the games Shining Force: The Legacy of Great Intention and Shining Force: Resurrection of Dark Dragon.
Background
Max meets Earnest in a Pao bar. He has a scar on his right eye. He says he wants to get revenge against Balbazak because he destroyed his hometown of Uranbatol. He even tries a sneak attack against Balbazak but is caught and imprisoned. Earnest will join the Shining Force after you find him in the jail of Balbazak's fortress in Uranbatol. Earnest is tan-skinned with blue eyes and white hair, a grey body and dark grey tail. He also has a large scar through his right eye.
Personality
Like many of the Shining Force members, Earnest is focused on revenge for what happened to his town, people and family. He is not quiet and speaks in a very calm and educated manner.
Strategy
Earnest is moderately strong when you first get him and remains fairly strong as a paladin. He can either act as a replacement for Ken and an alternative to Pelle to fight alongside Mae.
He is the last Centaur Knight to join and misses out the core Centaur battles in chapter 4.
