Randall is a minor character in the second season of Reign. He is portrayed by Alexander Crowther.
He is the clerick, secretary and lover of Cardinal Perazzo. He was forcefully branded by Sebastian to blackmail Perazzo into stopping the Vatican's torturing of Protestants.
Biography
Early Life
Randall, judging by his name, doesn't come from Italy. He somehow found his way to the Vatican and started to serve Cardinal Perazzo. The two fell in love and became lovers. Randall accompanied Perazzo on all his travels.

Season Two
Getaway
Randall and Cardinal Perazzo hear the confession of Lady Josephine, who slept with Louis of Condé and names him as a Protestant. Cardinal Perazzo hunts Protestants on behalf of the Vatican. Perazzo has deceased Protestants marked with a Devil's sign to link them to a plot to overthrow King Francis.
After sleeping with Perazzo, Randall discreetly makes his way through the castle when he is forcefully branded by Sebastian. He is uncovered as a "radical", and Sebastian and Francis take Randall away to be tortured as a radical.
Francis reveals to Perazzo that he did indeed have Randall forcefully branded because he knows of their love. Randall is used as blackmail material to convince Perazzo to retreat and stop framing and torturing Protestants.
Personality
Randall is extremely loyal and devoted to Cardinal Perazzo. His dreams, according to Perazzo, know no limit, and he is very ambitious, both for himself and his master. Randall will do anything to see his lover become the Pope, the highest clergical function.
Trivia
- Cardinal Odomo's secretary, Father Julian, is named "Father". Thus, it is likely that Randall is really titled "Father Randall", but he is never referred to as such. However, this may be due to Randall's other profession as a clerick.
- Like Father Julian, he is homosexual.
- He, Cardinal Perazzo, Philipe Nardin, David Rizzio, Father Julian and Lord Ruthven are the six known homosexual characters on Reign.
