Hearts and Minds
When Simon Westbrook is arrested and held under charges of killing French troops, injuring Bash, and then bragging about it. In the throne room Judith gives her statement to Mary that she personally witnessed Simon in the tavern talking about the ambush. Mary questions her later and discovers that Judith lied and was actually paid for her testimony under threat of death by Tomás of Pamela.

Judith is a rather fearful person.
