Background
On June 2, the group announced that they will be releasing a new comeback single.[2] The following day, the group officially revealed the title of their comeback single, "Day and Night" which will be released on June 14.[3]
On June 8, the group revealed the song's album art.[4]
Compositions
It features multilingual lyrics that talk about wanting to be with someone special all the time, the song is taken from the point of view of a fisherman who has fallen in love with the enchanting voice of a magindara — a mythological mermaid-like creature. The song is composed in the key of B minor, and has a typical tempo of 92 beats per minute.[5]
