The Wardens are a group of people that are assigned to protect the Noble Pokémon and Ride Pokémon, special Pokémon who are descendant of the ten companions of the ancient hero of legend, blessed by Arceus. They are a group of specialists before the Gym Leaders existed and are posted in camps throughout the Hisui region. Each warden bears a resemblance to an existing character introduced in the early installments to the franchise, though the relations between them, if any, are unknown, with the exception of Cyllene, who is said to be Cyrus's ancestor.
