Repel (item)

Repel is an item introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Repels are used to keep Wild Pokémon away that are at a lower level than the Pokémon in the front of the player's party. Repels cannot be used in battles, and the effect of one wears off after walking a hundred steps.

Repels are the most basic type of their namesake type. They have two upgraded variants, Super Repels and Max Repels.

Repels do not appear in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet despite having an updated description.
