Route 2 is the second route in the Galar region that extends northeast from Wedgehurst. Professor Magnolia's house is located at its terminus.

Description

Route 2 is a simple route, with patches of tall grass every so often. There are three Trainers on this route. There are eight visible items, however, half of them are not available without the Water Mode Rotom Bike. At the end of the route is Professor Magnolia's home and a lake.

Pokémon can earn Exp. Points by battling other Pokémon. Exp. Points help them grow stronger.
And your Pokémon will still get Exp. Points even if you catch a Pokémon you are battling against!

Trying to take another person's Pokémon makes you no different than a thief!
Poké Balls are only to be used to try to catch wild Pokémon that have no Trainers!

Storyline

The player won't get far along the route before they are stopped by Leon, who will give the player 20 Poké Balls and start a catching tutorial if no Pokémon are caught before. When the player and Hop reach Professor Magnolia's home, Leon will tell the player and Hop that he will endorse them if they can wow him in a battle with each other. After the battle regardless of the outcome, Leon gives both a letter of Endorsement each. Then, two Wishing Stars fall from the sky and land near the player and Hop, and the player sleeps over at Professor Magnolia's home. The next morning, Professor Magnolia has finished fitting the two Wishing Stars into two Dynamax Bands and give them back to the two, the player is told to head back to Wedgehurst.
