Information

"Skyline Racing Systems (SRS) is a major manufacturer of car components and systems on Earth. When Io-based company Laiundi wanted to build a good fast car, they came to SRS for parts such as engine management and airflow control systems that maximised grip, and it is partly these systems that give the Fuego its distinctive tailfins. The Fuego - or "Fork Tailed Devil" as it was popularly known as, was built as a direct competitor to Mitsushita's Bakar 95, and it was an all-round better car. When the Bakar 95C "Interceptor" was announced, it was thought that the Interceptor would go a long way to closing the gap." - Jupiter State Museum.

"This vehicle is the third car made from a model sent by a player, the Fuego was also voted with more than a 1000 votes! Richard Sirois, its creator, shared his inspiration with us, which was the need for the roads to have a bit of a heat, other than that of burnt tires, and that it is built in a sporty and stylish spirit of futuristic driving." - UbiSoft French POD Site.

Appearance

Fuego is a clay-colored race car with decals resembling a sun or a flaming meteor on its sides. At the rear stands two fins.

Trivia

• Fuego has the same default settings as Arc, Shark, Loris, Stinger, Dalton, Locust, Atlas, Eclypse, Razor and Banana.
• Fuego was available in the multiplayer shareware version released by UbiSoft as the only selectable car, together with the track Lake.
• Fuego was one of the most popular cars in online play.
• Fuego was the first of four cars created by Richard Sirois, the others being Shark, Dalton and Atlas.
• Fuego makes an appearance in the story named POD: Alternatives being driven by Craig Blades.
• Fuego was released June 30th 1997, together with Spin.
