Stealer Bird is an enemy in Phoenotopia: Awakening. They are vulture-like creatures with the signature ability of stealing people's RIN. They are found mainly in the Sand Drifts Region and Aurantia, and a few pacified ones are seen in Terrelum as well.
Behaviour
Stealer Birds normally perch on trees or buildings alone or in a group with up to three members. When one of them notices an approaching player, all members of the group would be alerted.
When Stealer Bird hits its target, it will also steal a gold RIN from the victim and attempt to flee. If it is hit at any point, it will fly away allowing players to retrieve any stolen money. Like with other flying enemies, Slingshot might be more effective due to the projectile's slower traveling speed.
Trivia
- In the Stealer Bird stall of Terrelum, a Harpy named Peale mentions its worry about their pet stealer gone for a long time, wondering if it is hurt and would wait for as long as it takes for it to return. There is no quest tied to this and Peale never gets to reunite with their pet
- Stealer Bird is originally referred to as simply "Stealer" in the end credits. This was later changed in v1.0.9, likely to match its name mentioned in Terrelum
