JASHES are a group of characters and NPCs in OMORI. They are local vendors who sell off a variety of items throughout the areas of HEADSPACE.
PROFILE
APPEARANCE
A JASH resembles a white cube-shaped creature with two displaced eyes and a zig-zagged mouth. They often wear a number of accessories to differentiate themselves from one another, as shown with a few such as the JOKER JASH or SNO-CONE JASH.
PERSONALITY
JASHES possess a no-nonsense, straightforward persona when dealing with their customers. All of them are shown to be calm and collected, even towards those who are rude or impatient with them.
STORY
PROLOGUE
The first JASH the group can encounter is the JOKER JASH, a miniature JASH hiding inside of a jack-in-the-box. When interacting with their box, JOKER JASH will pop out and surprise the group. JOKER JASH's box is also used by HAPPY during BERLY's game of hide-and-seek.
At VAST FOREST's TRAIN STATION, LEMON JASH can be found running a lemonade stand to a group of passengers waiting for the TRAIN to arrive. In OTHERWORLD, SNO-CONE JASH, a JASH wearing a colorful afro, can be seen selling SNO-CONES there.
THREE DAYS LEFT
Before the group can leave for ORANGE OASIS, the TRAIN STATION JASH first checks their TRAIN PASSES before booking them. Once the train arrives at the destined location after the group defeats a lone DOROTHI, an unseen JASH named CONDUCTOR JASH wishes all passengers on the train a safe journey.
Within the SPROUT MOLE VILLAGE, TOFU JASH can be found running his TOFU stand. When the group ventures through SWEETHEART'S CASTLE, they can encounter a JASH that was arrested for smuggling goods, known as the SMUGGLER JASH. They appear in two locations of the castle: THE DUNGEON and the FANMAIL GRAVEYARD.
TWO DAYS LEFT
The last two JASHES the group can encounter in HEADSPACE are both located within the UNDERWATER HIGHWAY. DEALER JASH can be found running a blackjack table at the LAST RESORT, while PARTY JASH is found within the GHOST PARTY of the casino.

The table below lists all JASH vendors encountered throughout HEADSPACE. Most of them sell various items that serve the purpose of healing the party's HEART and JUICE, or amplifying their states with EMOTIONS and buffs.
Note that if the player has bought an item from each one of the six JASH vendors, and either JASH vendor is the last one the group buys an item from, they will receive the SALES TAG as a token of gratitude for being a patron of JASH.

TRIVIA
- In the REAL WORLD, SUNNY and OTHERMART LADY's PET ROCKS are primarily based on the JASH creatures, most notably with the latter's JASH having one razor-sharp wing on their body. Said wing and title are likely a reference to Sephiroth from the Final Fantasy series.
- In early builds of the game and some of the files, JASH was originally named ASH.
- Despite having a normal overworld sprite, that sprite cannot be seen anywhere in the game, thus making it unused as the JASHES all wear different accessories instead of having the same appearance.
- There is a music artist named Chonny Jash, and he has made a reference to the Jash in one of his videos. It is unknown wether or not the reference was intentional.
