Paramold is one of the many items present in Oddworld: Soulstorm. It is exclusive to the Funicular.
Overview
One of the several important items needed to craft the Antidote, Paramold is a bluish-indigo fungal matter found usually in cave systems within Mudos. It is noted to be a survival food with a very strong odor, but can be eaten with some medicinal value. Mudokon escapees noticed their Brew sickness alleviating when consumed, giving Abe a clue to what the successful antidote formula was.
While the item does not appear in gameplay, large amounts were stolen during the insurrection at FeeCo Depot. Abe collected the crates the ingredients were stored in to replace the Brew's ingredients with antidote, effectively undoing its control over Mudos.
Trivia
- Paramold shares a similar demonym with Paramites/Paramonia, whether the Paramold has a symbiotic relationship with the beast or is just mere naming coincidence is unknown.
