Band is the eighth episode of the first series of Alphablocks.

Synopsis

It's time for a battle of the bands to see which is best, rock or pop.

Story

The episode starts with BAND rehearsing for their next song. B plays her bass and A sings calmly, but N shreds his No Guitar and D bashes on his drum too loudly. B tells them to keep it down, but N and D's noise was too loud for them to even hear. B then yells at them to finally get their attention. B states to the boys that she and A couldn't hear themselves. D explains that he and N were loud because he wants BAND's next song to be rock-themed. But B and A want it to be pop. B and D agree of doing a band battle to see which music genre is better.

B and A are busy forming their band. They need one more consonant to join them.

How can they win?

This was eventually interrupted by a by D, I, and N, who just formed their band: DIN. They play their song very loudly. FAB and DIN fight via music until they are stopped by X. He needs some help to fix this duel. F and I join him and form another new band: FIX. X sings that B, A, N, and D hold hands to see who is the best. The four Alphablocks soon learn no matter what genre they play, BAND remains on top.

• An instrumental version of "We're FAB" was played in the episode "On", and in Three's part of the Numberblocks Episode "Ten's Top Ten".
• C doesn't speak in the TV version.
• Other common "-ab" word family words are DAB, NAB, and TAB, but those words weren't made.
• This is like the special: Band Together, but a bit anticlimactic.
