Yunobo (JP), is a character in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. He is a Goron living in Goron City in the Eldin region of Hyrule. Yunobo is also a descendant of Daruk, the Goron Champion who fought along Link 100 years before the events of the game and as such he has inherited the ability to use Daruk's Protection.
Personality
Yunobo comes across as shy and also a coward who tends to get frightened easily, often trembling in the presence of hostile entities and at one point mistaking Link for a monster. Despite all this, there happened to be times when Yunobo is willing to cooperate with others when doing dangerous tasks like keeping Divine Beast Vah Rudania away from the Goron Mines by using himself as an effective cannonball. After Link solves the issue with the Divine Beast, Yunobo sees Daruk's ghost standing atop of it and waved to him and he becomes noticeably braver and happier than he originally was.
By the time of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Yunobo's courage is tested when he jumps through the time portal created by Terrako to save Daruk from being killed by Fireblight Ganon and assures the shocked Goron Champion that he's here to help. Yunobo seems to retain some of his cowardly traits when he becomes paralyzed with fear of Fireblight before Daruk returns the favor and tells him to relax to remind him why he's here. Yunobo seems to be slightly stricken with self-doubt and isn't quite proud of the awkward and frightened Goron he used to be, though Daruk often boosts his confidence by calling him the Champion of the Future.

End of the Timelines
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Before he encountered Link, Yunobo is said to have helped Bludo fighting back the Divine Beast Vah Rudania, but try as they might, it keeps coming back to disrupt the work at the Abandoned Northern Mines rendering the area too dangerous. Due to old age, Bludo suffers back pain on a regular basis, and he often calls upon Yunobo to pick up the painkillers at the small storage cave. Yunobo heads there, but once he enters, Vah Rudania acts up and a rockslide occurs and it blocks the entrance, trapping the young Goron inside. With Yunobo unable to return, Bludo assumes that he's slacking off. When Link visits Goron City, Bludo asks him to find Yunobo so they can stop Vah Rudania's rampage. Link ventures into the Northern Mines where he hears Yunobo's cries for help and loads a cannon with a metal cannonball and used it to break the rocks that block the entrance. As Link enters, Yunobo sees him and thought he was a monster and runs around for a moment before realizing that Link is there to help him.
After returning to Goron City, Yunobo gives Bludo his much-needed painkillers, and they settle things to handle Vah Rudania, however, Bludo's back pain gets the best of him, and stays behind to let the medicine do its thing. Link and Yunobo head to the volcano where Vah Rudania resides and lowered the bridge. As they approach, Vah Rudania senses their presence and sends out Guardian Sentries to halt their progress. Link and Yunobo strategize with Link whistling for Yunobo to come or stop as they sneak up to the cannons where Yunobo used himself as a cannonball to attack Vah Rudania. If Link or Yunobo is spotted by the sentries, Vah Rudania causes an eruption, making Yunobo tremble and put-up Daruk's Protection while Link has to take shelter until the eruption ends. Once Vah Rudania is appeased, Link and Yunobo approach the crater and the young Goron was about to insist on going in together but is unable to finish as Link floats his way to the Divine Beast with his paraglider. Once Link succeeds in freeing the Divine Beast from Fireblight Ganon, Yunobo is able to see his ancestor while the Divine Beast is heading to its firing position, which Daruk finds reassuring that his tribe is still thriving after a hundred years since his death. Yunobo is extremely happy, which he expresses by laughing, cheering, and waving to Daruk.
They head back to Goron City where Bludo's back pain had finally eased and is surprised to hear that Link and Yunobo had permanently appeased Vah Rudania all on their own, making it look like Bludo was lying about his sore back. Yunobo then returns to his normal life and the Gorons no longer need to fear Vah Rudania disrupting their lives.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Sometime later, Yunobo starts a new mining company called YunoboCo, with Yunobo himself serving as the President. He also comes up with an amusement park known as Mine-Cart Land. Following the Upheaval, Yunobo notices an ominous red haze coming from a now-dormant Death Mountain, and goes to investigate; he meets with Princess Zelda (actually a fake version of her), who gives him a strange mask that, when he starts wearing it, causes him to go bad.
At the same time, he discovers a strange new type of rock called Marbled Rock Roast, gloom-contaminated rocks that all the young Gorons become addicted to, spending their time eating instead of working. When Link comes to Goron City, Yunobo acts rudely towards him and Bludo, then heads for YunoboCo HQ along with his assistants Siergo and Offrak. Link follows and battles Yunobo, destroying his mask and returning him to normal. The fake Zelda then causes rocks to trap Yunobo, Link, Siergo, and Offrak inside the cave. Yunobo breaks the rocks with his rumble-boom attack, and resolves to look for Zelda.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
The Calamity is Averted

Daruk is having trouble defeating Fireblight Ganon and often pushed to the defensive until the monster breaks his forcefield, Daruk's Protection to render him helpless. He remains defiant as a large fireball is tossed at him with an intent on taking his life, but before he meets certain death, a time portal summoned by Terrako appears and Yunobo burst out and uses his forcefield to block the lethal attack. Daruk is surprised by Yunobo sharing his ability, with Yunobo replying that he's here to help. Thanks to Yunobo's intervention, Daruk not only held out longer, but it gave Link and the party enough time for them to arrive. Yunobo grew nervous as Fireblight was about to attack him, but Daruk returns the favor by blocking its attack and tells him to remain calm, and Yunobo realized this as there would not be a point in saving someone just to end up needing to be saved all the time. As the party arrived, they managed to defeat Fireblight Ganon and are soon joined by Mipha and Prince Sidon. Mipha asks Sidon if he really is her younger brother, and the adult prince confirms it as he came from the future as did the others who share the same timeline. Daruk laughs it off telling them that they can figure it out later before turning his attention to Princess Zelda and in a serious tone, asks her about the fate of Hyrule Castle.
Upon learning what happened, Yunobo joins Daruk on Vah Rudania as they take out Ganon's army along the eastern reaches of Hyrule. Daruk tells Yunobo off for addressing him with the formalities as they destroy the bridges to prevent the infected Guardians from crossing over and attacking an Allied Stronghold that resided there and destroying those that crossed over while taking out the main enemy stronghold before they went out to save Revali, Teba, Urbosa, and Riju and their Divine Beasts from the Blight Ganons.

In the Guardian of Remembrance DLC, Yunobo teams up with Daruk to help defend Kakariko Village from a barrage of monsters and the Yiga Clan led by Sooga. After this, the Sheikah citizens cheer and Yunobo caught Daruk glancing at him and panics and clains he's no hero and Daruk should have all the credit. He then recounts the time when he was a timid coward who was easily scared of everything until he met a certain Hylian friend who helped him find his courage which would lead to him saving Daruk. Pleased with him anyway, Daruk grabs Yunobo's arm and raises it, with the crowd cheering for them again. Daruk then assures Yunobo that he is indeed a hero and dubs him the Champion of the Future while adding that he is very much proud to have him as his descendant which Yunobo then felt better for that after Daruk tells him to give his friend his regards.
They then provided reinforcements for Mipha and Sidon at the Akkala Citadel as the latter duo assisted the soldiers that were stationed there. When the Hyrulean soldiers fire the cannons to destroy the bridge just as the Malice Guardians crossed over, taking them down with it. Thanks to this action, Akkala Citadel made it through. Daruk, with Vah Rudania backed up Urbosa and Riju at Fort Hateno with Vah Ruta and Vah Medoh following suit with taking out vast numbers of monsters. Princess Zelda's powers had awakened to protect Link from Astor and the revived Blight Ganons and Purah used a failsafe to wipe out several Guardians that made up Ganon's main part of his army, giving Hyrule a huge advantage. King Rhoam had barely survived the initial attack at Hyrule Castle and Master Kohga and the Yiga Clan have reformed after their being betrayed by Astor and losing many of their footsoldiers and sided with Hyrule as they now have a common enemy.

The Divine Beasts, Champions, their successors, and their armies all around Hyrule are summoned by Purah, via the restored Sheikah Towers to Hyrule Field and unified as a single army. With her father's approval, Zelda takes command to launch a full-scale assault to breach Hyrule Castle's defenses. When three main monsters are killed, the barrier around the castle drops and the Divine Beasts, under the command of the Champions fired their lasers to critically weaken Ganon, but the Blood Moon rises and resurrects the dead monsters. Despite the circumstances, Link and the party managed to push through. They enter the castle where Astor and Harbinger Ganon, the infected Terrako of this timeline, awaited them. They all managed to destroy the four Blight Ganons for good before proceeding to battle and defeat the dark duo. Extremely outraged about their defiance to the dark prophecy, Astor commands Harbinger Ganon to devour the heroes, but the surprise is really on him as Ganon absorbs him instead to take on its new form. Ganon used the Malice to turn the future Terrako against Link and Zelda against its will and they have to battle it. Yunobo and the Champions mourn Terrako's damaged state and Princess Zelda vows to take Ganon down, no matter what as they head to the sanctum where Calamity Ganon awaited them. The battle proved to be too difficult due to Ganon's maximum defense against their attacks and Zelda attempts to seal it with her power. Terrako gets back up as a result and charges upstairs and jumps between the princess and Ganon, obliterating itself and Ganon's invulnerability. After the grueling fight, Ganon is critically weakened, and Link uses the Master to cut the beast into two and Zelda proceeds to seal it away for good, ending the Great Calamity.

The light of day returns to the skies, and everyone witnesses peace returning to the kingdom. Everyone smiles in relief and satisfaction of putting the whole battle behind them. Terrako's screw activates one last time and Yunobo, Teba, Prince Sidon, and Riju are about to leave, and they each say good-bye to their predecessors and Princess Zelda wishes them well as they vanish to return to the future.
In the secret DLC ending, Yunobo and Daruk are sitting atop of the high cliff enjoying the sights as well as their Rock Roasts, and are later seen interacting among the Champions with Terrako amusing them.
