Norus

Norus is a class M planet located in Sector 004 of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. It is the homeworld of the humanoid Norusians.

Background

On a stormy day, the surface of Norus appears a bluish gray with dark, overcast skies. On a sunny day, the sky appears light yellow.

History

In the 23rd century, inhabitants of Norus and Eldor were at war.

In 2265, while investigating an empty Eldorian spy ship, James T. Kirk and Spock were abducted by a long distance transporter and imprisoned on Norus as enemy spies. They were forced into a trial by combat against a giant robot moloth, then sentenced to execution by the planet's ruling council. Montgomery Scott and a rescue party joined the crew of the Eldorian warship Lebron to recover the two officers. (TOS comic: "Menace of the Moloth")
