The Hermes Armor (ヘルメスアーマー Herumesu Āmā) is a set of Armor Parts for X found in Mega Man X8. Its Parts grant X's body a blue glow with increased movement speed and mobility. It is accessed by equipping the Neutral Armor with all four H Parts.
Functions
- Helmet Parts H: Doubles the charge speed of the X-Buster and all Special Weapons. Charge speed is quadrupled with X-Drive in effect.
- Body Parts H: Grants invincibility to enemy attacks that deal 2HP damage or less. Invincibility duration doubled when X-Drive is in effect, and when X takes damage, he earns Metals equivalent to the damage taken.
- Buster Parts H: Fires 3 semi-charged spread shots when the X-Buster is fully charged, with the added capability of breaking defenses. Adds a fourth-level charged shot that shoots 5 semi-charged shots when X-Drive is in effect.
- Foot Parts H: Doubles running and dashing speed, and turn invisible and invincible from most projectile attacks while dashing. Running and dashing speed is quadrupled when X-Drive is in effect. Some obstacles can still harm X, such as the spinning fans in Pitch Black.
In addition to the effects of the four parts, the full Hermes Armor supplies X with the X-Drive ability, which when activated boosts most of X's stats for a limited time.
