A Revver, internally named Chorochu, is an enemy in Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Profile

Physical description

Revvers have a grayish white head that mouse driving similar to a cross between that of the Skeleton Koopa and Chain Chomp. A pink tongue can be seen hanging out of their mouth, and they have a red dog collar and an orange body that has a wheel. A tail with a grabbable handle comes out the back akin to a leash.

Behavior

Revvers normally roll around on their wheel, but Mario can grab their leash and pull it, sending the enemy driving forwards uncontrollably, causing them to die upon impact with a wall. Revvers will break through blocks of stone in their revved-up state.

In Super Mario Bros. Wonder

Revvers make their debut in Rolling Ball Hill and are last seen in Hot-Hot Hot!.

Etymology

Revver is derirved from the verb "to rev up," while the internal name Chorochu is from Japanese Choro-choro (darting about; written チョロチョロ) and chū (written ちゅう; referring to a mouse's squeaking noises).
