A Mad Blurp is an enemy in Super Princess Peach.

Physical description

A Mad Blurp is a variant of Blurp, which they resemble, except they wear red goggles instead of blue like with regular Blurps.

Behavior

Mad Blurps are imbued with the Rage vibe, so they are more aggressive than a regular Blurp. Upon noticing Peach, a Blurp starts moving in a direct line to her location, a behavior comparable to Deep Cheeps in the New Super Mario Bros. sub-series. Mad Blurps do not adjust their path if Peach moves.

In Super Princess Peach

Mad Blurps first appear in the level Ladida Plains 1-9. They only appear in underwater areas that utilize Subrella, starting with Wavy Beach and later returning in Gleam Glacier and Bowser's Villa. Mad Blurps most commonly appear in tight spaces or areas with scrolling screens, making it a challenge to avoid them at times. Despite their aggressive nature, Mad Blurps are no stronger than standard Blurps, and Peach can quickly defeat one by blowing Air Bubbles at it.
