Physical description

A Mad Spike is a variant of Spike, which it resembles, except Mad Spikes have red hair instead of blue, an angry face, and smoke coming out of them.

Behavior

Mad Spikes are imbued with the Rage vibe. They stamp their feet around angrily as they walk while appearing to shout. Whenever a Mad Spike sees Peach, it gets furious and throws Spiked Balls at her. Mad Spikes have the ability to jump, unlike regular Spikes.

In Super Princess Peach

Mad Spikes are first encountered in the level Ladida Plains 1-7. They are also encountered in Fury Volcano, Gleam Glacier, and Bowser's Villa. Peach can defeat a Mad Spike either from the effects of Rage or by hitting it with Perry. When Peach stomps onto a Mad Spike, she can pick it up to throw at other enemies or objects.
