Imlad-Ringló, the Chillflood Vale, was a valley and fiefdom named after the river Ringló, and cut deep into the White Mountains of Gondor. The river Ringló bordered the vale with the province of Lamedon.
Imlad-Ringló was fairly populated,[citation needed]and in Ethring, a small town that forded the river Ringló, the South Road from Imlad Morthond to Pelargir ran through it. The region's forces came to Minas Tirith to defend the city from Sauron's forces in the War of the Ring. Three hundred men on foot led by Dervorin, the son of their lord, marched to Minas Tirith, while other forces went to the coast to defend it.
