Akua was a female lion. She was the sister of Kiros and Amara. She was a member of the Outsiders.
When Mufasa killed Kiros's son, Shaju, the Outsiders decimated his pride as payback. They continued to hunt Mufasa and his brother, Taka, in order to enact their full revenge. Eventually, with help from Taka, they tracked Mufasa and his allies to the fabled paradise of Milele. During the ensuing battle between the Outsiders and the animals of Milele, Akua and Amara tried to kill a pride of lions who had allied with Mufasa, only to fall into a fissure in the earth to their deaths.
Biography
Early life
Akua had a brother named Kiros and a sister named Amara. She was a member of a pride of lions led by Kiros.[1]
Revenge campaign against Mufasa
As part of Kiros's campaign to kill off every pride in the Valley of Kings, Azibo and Shaju attacked Eshe. However, Mufasa leaped to her defense and killed Shaju. Outnumbered, Azibo fled and reported what had happened to Kiros. Though he claimed that he had been badly injured, Akua and Amara sniffed him and determined that only one lion had left blood on his mane; thus, he had left Shaju to die. As punishment for having abandoned his son, Kiros let his pride kill Azibo. Bent on revenge, the Outsiders confronted Obasi's pride and slaughtered them all.

Upon realizing that Mufasa and Taka had escaped, the Outsiders tracked them down. Though Mufasa attempted to lie that Taka was nothing more than a stray, Akua and Amara told Kiros that he did, in fact, belong to Obasi's pride. Kiros then ordered an attack, only for Mufasa and Taka to escape by jumping off a nearby waterfall.
Later, the Outsiders attacked Mufasa, Taka, and their allies again, this time in a ravine. However, Sarabi heaved a beehive into the midst of an elephant herd, inciting a stampede that destroyed the rock bridges the Outsiders had been using. Their pursuit cut off, they were forced to find another way around.

As the Outsiders followed Mufasa and his allies up a snowy mountain, Akua and Amara lost his scent because of the snow as well as Zazu covering his tracks. Just then, Taka approached and proposed an alliance between himself and Kiros. Kiros accepted, and Taka began to leave a trail of claw marks for the Outsiders to follow.
Eventually, Mufasa and his allies reached the fabled paradise of Milele, only for the Outsiders to confront them. Mufasa quickly rallied the animals of Milele to fight for him, and they leaped into battle against the Outsiders. During the ensuing fight, Akua, Amara, and several lionesses attacked a lion pride who had allied with Mufasa. However, an earthquake caused the ground to open up beneath them, and they fell through a fissure in the earth to their deaths.[1]
Physical appearance
Akua was a lean lioness. She had a white coat, with black-tipped ears, a scarred muzzle, and gray eyes.[1]
Personality and traits
Like her sister, Amara, Akua was perceptive and possessed an acute sense of smell. She was sadistic, even enjoying the death of a fellow pride member. She was fiercely loyal to her brother, Kiros.[1]
