Ruffled Feathers is the forty-fifth episode of Krypto the Superdog.
Summary
Krypto, becomes jealous when he thinks Kevin, likes Ace the Bat-Hound, more than Superdog.
Plot
Kevin and Krypto are inside Krypto’s rocket (underneath the backyard), using a telescope. Upon seeing Ace the Bat Hound, Kevin is initially afraid, thinking that Ace is a monster.
Krypto, reassures Kevin, that Ace, is just a scary-looking but harmless, as well as he is just like Batman. Krypto asks why Ace has arrived outside Kevin’s house, the latter informs the former about Bad News Birds. A huge white creamy ball falls onto the lawn. It turns out that a robotic bird that has dropped the huge “snowball” has been sent by Waddles, Artie and Griff. Ace suspects that the “snowball” is not really snow, it’s vanilla ice-cream with peanut butter chips.
The trio embark on their mission to catch the feathered villains on top of the ice cream factory Stecklemans. Unfortunately, Griff exposes green kryptonite and opens the trapdoor, causing Kevin and the weakened Krypto to fall. Ace runs to save the duo, but the impact is too powerful for him to support. The three friends end up falling into the ice cream machine.
Artie, Griff and Waddles push one of the buttons, allowing the ice cream flavours to start blending. Kevin manages to find the green kryptonite and inserts it into the Batarang that Ace has given to Kevin earlier. Ace tosses the Batarang away, but not before they get blended. Luckily, Krypto breaks the mixing blender to create a huge hole for escape. While Ace retrieves his utility collar (that is taken out by Artie earlier), he and Kevin recall what the three birds are discussing about: flying, which is referred as “smoothie sailing” and “hot fudge sundae soaring”. Realizing that they are going to steal the ice cream companies plane.
The feathered fiends are ready for a take-off while serving desserts, when a pink plane suddenly jerks. It turns out that Krypto has grabbed the plane’s tail, causing the whole jet to plummet towards the runway and make the birds feel airsick. Once he makes the plane touch down gently, the whole cabin is covered with ice cream. He manages to tilt it sideways to let all the feathered foes drop from the cabin, Kevin and Ace successfully catch them with a net and hand them to the police.
As soon as Ace leaves. Kevin cheers the jealous Krypto up by telling him that not only is he the greatest hero, he is also his best friend. Krypto smiles, as they share a heartwarming embrace.
