Jo Yuri (Korean: 조유리, Japanese: チョユリ; or simply Yuri) is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actress under WAKEONE. She is a former member of the project girl group IZ*ONE.

She made her solo debut with the single album "Glassy" on October 7, 2021.

Career

2017: Idol School

In July 2017, Yuri became a contestant on the survival show Idol School. She ranked 15th place in the finale, thus being unable to debut with fromis 9.[3]

2018-2021: Produce 48, IZ*ONE, solo debut with "Glassy"

On May 11, 2018, she was revealed as a contestant on Produce 48, where she would represent Stone Music Entertainment. She finished 3rd overall, thus becoming a member of IZ*ONE.[4] The group officially debuted on October 29 with their first mini album Color*IZ.

On April 29, 2021, IZ*ONE disbanded after their special contract was concluded. Then, Yuri returned to Stone Music as a trainee.

On September 24, 2021, a teaser posted via her official social media announced that she will make her solo debut on October 7 with the single album "Glassy".[5]

2022: Op.22 Y-Waltz : in Major, "Op.22 Y-Waltz : in Minor"

On May 13, WAKEONE confirmed that Yuri will be making her comeback with a mini album in June.[6] On May 16, a mood poster was posted on her social media accounts announcing that she will be releasing her first mini album, Op.22 Y-Waltz : in Major, on June 2.[7][8]

On October 8, a mood poster was posted on her social media accounts announcing that she will be releasing her second single album, "Op.22 Y-Waltz : in Minor".[9] The release date was revealed to be October 24.[10]

2023: Love All

On July 4, WAKEONE revealed that Jo Yuri will be releasing a mini album in early August.[11] On July 25, a teaser poster was posted which announced that Jo Yuri will be releasing her second mini album, Love All, on August 9.[12]

2023-2024: "Squid Game 2"

On June 29, 2023, it was announced that she would play Kim Jun-hee in the series "Squid Game 2", which premiered on December 26, 2024.[13]
