Hitomi

Hitomi (Korean: 히토미; Japanese: 仁美), also known by her full name Honda Hitomi (本田仁美), is a Japanese singer, lyricist, actress and radio host under iNKODE. She is the leader of the girl group SAY MY NAME and a former member of the Japanese idol girl group AKB48 and the project girl group IZ*ONE.

Early life

Honda Hitomi born on October 6, 2001 in Tochigi, Japan, In 2012, when Honda Hitomi was in elementar School, His family consists of his mother, father and two elder brothers[1] , She is a fan of the Utsunomiya Brex basketball team[2], and from 4th to 6th grade she took part in their cheerleading school.

In 2012, When she was still in elementary school, she appeared on a local television program called "Kodomojikan" in her hometown.[3]

In 2017, she was the main reporter for a local program on Tochigi Television.[4]

Career

2014–2021: AKB48, Produce 48, IZ*ONE

In 2014, Hitomi auditioned for AKB48's Team 8, and was accepted into the group at the age of 12.

In 2018, she participated in Mnet's survival show Produce 48. On August 30, she finished the competition in 9th place, and became a member of IZ*ONE. The group officially debuted on October 29, 2018 with the mini album Color*IZ and its title track, "La Vie En Rose".

On April 29, 2021, IZ*ONE disbanded after their special contract was concluded. Then, Hitomi and the other Japanese members returned to Japan.

2021–2024: Return to AKB48 and graduation

On September 29, 2021, following her return and reappearance as a member of the group after IZ*ONE's disbandment, Hitomi had her first comeback with AKB48 with the group's 58th single "Ne mo Ha mo Rumor".

On January 1, 2022, Vernalossom announced that her contract with them has ended, and that she would be transferring to DH.[5]

On August 30, 2023, Hitomi announced her graduation from AKB48.[6] On September 29, it was announced that Hitomi's graduation concert, Honda Hitomi Graduation Concert ~Yume to Kibou ni Michita Michi~, is set to be held on January 26, 2024.[7] On January 28, she officially graduated from AKB48 after her final theater performance.

In April 2024, her contract with Mama & Son Inc. was terminated.

2024: Debut with SAY MY NAME

On September 13, 2024, Hitomi was revealed as the seventh and final member of SAY MY NAME.[8] The group debuted on October 16, 2024 with the EP SAY MY NAME.
