"Entwurf" (stylized in all caps) is the second single album by NMIXX. It was released on September 19, 2022 with "Dice" serving as the single's title track.
The physical album comes in nine versions: Light, Limited, and seven member-specific jewel cases.
Background
On August 22, 2022, NMIXX announced their comeback with their second single, "Entwurf", with the release of a teaser poster.[1] On September 1, a trailer video, 'NMIXX Rules of Play NMIXX ADVENTURE', was posted on the group's social media accounts.[2]
Composition
"Dice" is described as NMIXX's genre MIXX POP which is a genre that mixes the hip hop genre with the jazz sound, dreamy trap, pop, and an addictive beat. The chorus is stated to be addicted that is based on the rhythmical brass. The lyrics talk about comparing the adventure NMIXX of trying to move past the enemy's interference to a game. A secret warning will help them to not fall in the trap that makes the person dizzy. The game played creates a lot of tension as they move forward and is not easy.[3] "COOL (Your rainbow)" is described as a pop ballad genre song. The song features a 808 base alongside a trap beat, dreamy brass, and classical strings. NMIXX's unique tone shows throughout the song. The lyrics compares the situation of recognizing and collecting their emotions and realizes that the certain emotions that are deemed not cool are also precious emotions. It's simply collecting the emotions are they move forward with a new light as the dark days turn to rainbows.[3]
Promotions
On September 16, a showcase was held for the album release at the Yes24 Live Hall in Seoul, South Korea. During the showcase, the music video for "Dice" was shown as well as a live performance from NMIXX.[4]
Commercial performance
Hanteo reported that "Entwurf" sold 250,661 copies in its first day of release. The album broke NMIXX's previous first week sales in one day as "Ad Mare" sold 227,399 copies in a week.[5] In total, the album sold 442,207 copies in the first week.[6]
Circle chart reported that Entwurf sold 483,736 copies during the week of September 18 - September 24.[7] In total for the month of September, the album sold 486,101 copies.[8]
On November 10, the album was certified Double Platinum by the Korean Music Contents Association (KMCA) for selling over 500,000 copies on Circle Chart.[9]
