Light is a Copy Ability in the Kirby series, debuting in Kirby's Adventure.
Games
Kirby's Adventure and Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land
Light illuminates dark rooms. It doesn't damage or affect any enemies, and can only be used once. There are only two dark rooms in the entire game, to which this ability has an actual effect; using Light in the second of these dark rooms, located in Stage 6 of Grape Garden, reveals an otherwise hidden door if the player backtracks. Light can be obtained or used in lit areas, but it doesn't do anything besides expend the ability. Light is obtained from the Cool Spook enemy.
Light hasn't appeared in any other games, likely due to its function being replicated by other means, such as Spark Kine, Bomb Spark, Candles, and Fire and Spark's abilities to illuminate areas around them.

Trivia
- The only time Kirby can get Light not in a dark room is in the Stage 1 of Yogurt Yard. However, since there are no dark rooms in the stage, the ability is completely useless.
- Light is one of the few non-Final Abilities that does not grant Kirby a hat (although the Nightmare in Dream Land icon depicts him wearing sunglasses), instead his body flickers with light until the ability is used.
- In an interview with the developers of Kirby Air Ride, they wanted to add a "light-flash" Copy Ability that would have blinded other players and find hidden routes but figured this attack would be too difficult to dodge thus making it unfair for other players.[1] The Light Copy Ability would have been a reasonable pick for this attack with Dale presumably granting it when inhaled.
