Orne (オーン Ōn) are Underworld enemies which first appear in Kid Icarus: Uprising.
Physical appearance
The Orne is a large blue skull with a horn protruding from either side of its head and jaw, and the bulk of its body is shrouded in a purple, dark aura. The Orne has two holes underneath its eye sockets and three holes above them, as well as a hole just above its nose hole. It has four small teeth on its upper jaw, and six small teeth on its lower jaw, with two large fangs on either side of the smaller teeth on the lower jaw. When it opens its mouth, the Orne reveals multiple red and blue skulls within.
Appearances
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Orne sway from side to side as they slowly encroach on their enemies, and can instantly kill their prey upon physical contact. Their behavior may change depending on the chapter—they may stay in place, follow a set path, move toward Pit, or move away from Pit. When Pit gets close enough to an Orne, harrowing 8-bit music will start to play. They are resistant to all weapons, with the exception of the Arrows of Light.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS

Orne are enemies in the Smash Run mode of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS. Orne behave identically as in Kid Icarus: Uprising. Orne are invulnerable to all attacks, and while they do not physically attack, Orne do chase after the player's fighter, as they can instantly defeat them on contact.
Other than its roar, one can tell if an Orne is nearby by the 8-bit music that plays whenever one appears in Kid Icarus: Uprising, although this does not occur if the music setting is off.
A single Orne accompanied by Souflees always appears in the normal level of the Survival Challenge Door.

Trivia
- Orne are one of the two non-boss enemies that can finish Pit in one hit, the other being the Tempura Wizard. Coincidentally, they are both members of the Underworld Army.
- Orne are one of three enemies that change the game's music, the others being the Reaper and the Merenguy. Coincidentally, they are all members of the Underworld Army.
- They bear a striking resemblance to the skulls that Clubberskulls are initially trapped in.
- There is an Orne in the land section of Chapter 19: The Lightning Chariot that is very peculiar, as it is impossible for this particular Orne to touch Pit and finish him; this Orne periodically pops up from inside of a pit that Pit must jump to the other side of via a jump pad. The jump pad always takes Pit over the Orne even when it pops out of the pit, and there are invisible barriers on either side of it that prevent Pit from walking into and touching the Orne that way. This is the only Orne in the game that cannot finish Pit. This Orne may have accidentally been rendered pointless due to a developer oversight.
