Fort Oinks (ブーハウス Būhausu) are Underworld enemies that debuted in Kid Icarus: Uprising.
Physical Appearance
Fort Oink is a castle-like monster with a snarling pig head with blue eyes and white pupils poking through the front and a pig tail poking through the back. It has propellers on each of its roofs and sides, as well as Skuttlers situated at its windows. It possesses a retractable face plate with the Underworld Army symbol on it, as well as a door below its face which features a skull design. It also has three gem-like structures underneath its the main castle and its two towers, respectively. Every time its pig head pokes out through its front doors, it lets out a squeal.
Appearances
Kid Icarus: Uprising
Fort Oink is incapable of directly attacking its foes, only possessing the ability to spawn enemies through the door below its face. While its most accessible weak point is its face, its most effective weak point is its exposed rear.
Idol Description
Fort Oink
Fort Oink was originally designed to transport Underworld troops to the battlefield. However, mistakes were made, and it now fires its passengers as ammunition. At least the Underworld now knows to measure twice and cut once.

Trivia
- Its Japanese name, Būhausu, is likely derived from the Japanese word for pig (ブタ Buta) and the word "house."
- In its concept art, Fort Oink's face plate bears the design of a smiling pig face. This was changed to the Underworld Army symbol in its finalized appearance in the game.
- Its idol description mentions it firing the troops it’s supposed to transport at its enemies as projectiles, but it never does this in game. It may have been originally intended for it to do this in-game, but it was instead removed during development for unknown reasons.
- Fort Oink doesn’t appear in any of the Medusa chapters; in fact, it is not encountered until chapter 19, making it that last new Underworld enemy Pit encounters. It was likely still being developed by the Underworld Army in a similar vain to the Juggernauts of Palutena’s Army during Medusa’s brief resurgence and, like the aforementioned enemy, was subsequently finished some time during the three years Pit spent as a ring after being transformed into it by the Chaos Kin, hence its incredibly late debut.
