Onnekut is a mentioned-only character in Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds.
History
Onnekut is a power hungry chieftain of a werak based in Ban-Ur, only allowing hunters that are willing to fawn over him and sing false songs to him on the best hunts.[1]
Eventually, the werak split in two, those loyal to Onnekut and those who wanted better.[1] Nukoni took a stand against her chieftain,[2] challenging him to a hunting competition for control of the werak. However, Onnekut murdered her by snapping her neck, returning to the werak as he teased those who sided with Nukoni.[1] Upon discovering the truth, Tatai, Tulemak and Urkai abandoned the werak to start their own in the Sundom, away from Banuk territory,[3] fearing Onnekut might kill them next.[1]
