WARNING! |
Hekate is Victoria's "sidekick", personal assistant/servant and a member of the Hero Clan. She is a powerful Gift user known as The Butcher of Human Body and the Savage Beast of Grodnensa who was once a ruthless warrior infamous for the tendency of tearing apart her opponents and victims with her bare hands. She is also famous for the act of brutally killing the previous district lord of YS Harbor centuries ago in the Era of the Lords. However, she was "recruited" into becoming a member of Victoria's pirate crew after the Elder nearly killed her.
She is the third strongest individual in the district of Rhodos after her associate Galeramdt Garagh, its greatest swordsman and member of the Four Swordsmen.
Hekate was introduced in the District 17 Assault Arc as Victoria's assistant and assist in saving Chaos during the Nameless's attack on the 17th Division and has appeared throughout the series since then.
Appearance
Hekate is a slim yet muscular woman with a sharp jawline and a youthful face that belies her true, ancient age. She typically wears formal attire, such as a black tuxedo over a plain white shirt, which reflects her professional side. However, when off-duty, she prefers casual clothing. She enjoys wearing modern, comfortable styles, such as a colorful Hawaiian shirt paired with a simple white top.
Her casual outfits often include either shorts or skirts, complemented by a variety of footwear, from strap sandals to black, long boots. Her eyes are striking, with a blue outer iris and a cyan inner iris, adding to her unique appearance. Hekate's hair is cornflower blue and kept in a short, messy, yet straight cut that ends around her neck. In her youth, her hair was much longer, often tied in a ponytail, but over the centuries, her style has evolved to reflect a more understated look.
Personality
Hekate is often portrayed as a passive and quiet individual, one who tends to engage in only brief, casual conversations. She is known to follow Victoria closely, rarely stepping out of her shadow. Despite this reserved nature, Hekate possesses a surprisingly straightforward personality. She once corrected Engen when he mistakenly referred to her by her former alias, "The Butcher," showing that she is unafraid to assert herself when necessary.
In her youth, Hekate was far more ruthless, embodying the cold and unforgiving nature of her former identity as "The Butcher." During this time, she was known for mercilessly tearing apart her opponents, a brutal tactic she employed with clinical efficiency. However, her actions were not driven by a sadistic pleasure in violence; rather, they were simply the most pragmatic and effective way to deal with adversaries, especially within the brutal context of Grodnensan culture.
History

Hekate was born in Grodnensa during the Chaotic Era, centuries ago. Much of her early life remains shrouded in mystery but at some point, in her youth, she was seen standing before a burning town or District. Whether she was facing hardship or had a hand in razing it to the ground remains unclear. What is certain, however, is her deep familiarity with the lawless culture of Grodnensa, though little else is known about her childhood or if she even had a family.[1]

After leaving her homeland, Hekate traveled the world and became known as one of the figures who defied the new world order during the Era of the Lords. She quickly gained a deadly reputation for her inhuman strength and resilience, which set her apart from most Gift Users.
Her vicious nature, particularly her habit of tearing apart opponents or victims with her bare hands, earned her the titles of "The Butcher of Human Body" and "Savage Beast of Grodnensa." One of the most notorious incidents of her violent past was the brutal killing of the district lord of YS Harbor. The reasons behind this act remain unknown—whether she did it to seize control of the district or simply out of a desire for a fight—but the aftermath of her rampage marked a dramatic turning point in her life.

Sometime after this incident, a pirate captain by the name of Victoria sought out Hekate. The full extent of their first encounter isn't currently known but the pirate would brutally beat Hekate within an inch of her life with just two hits to her face [2], Victoria would then "recruit" her into becoming a member of her pirate crew, the Knights of Rhodos. Hekate became traumatized from the beating and tried, in vain, to show her defiance but this simply earned her further abuse from Victoria who started taking delight in it.[3]
Later on, Victoria, Hekate, and the Knights of Rhodos, traveled to the snow-covered lands of Castle Gray. The crew docked at a nearby port, where they were accosted by a knight demanding to know who they were. Victoria replied that she heard rumors of an idiot calling himself "god" and asked the knight to take her to him. The knight upon seeing her Elder star said it didn't matter if it was real or fake, declaring that the land was the territory of Lord Reagan Sinclair and he wouldn't allow anyone to defile the name of his lord. Victoria upon noticing his confidence sent Galeramdt to fight with the knight, but the rookie pirate accidentally ended up killing him.
Afterwards, Victoria's crew sat down and partied, drinking away while waiting for Reagan to find them. Hekate would spare with Galeramdt as they passed the time.
Hekate's activities in the centuries to come aren't fully known, but at one point she bore witness to the prowess of Yushin of Yerim and came to know the swordsman's deadliness.[4]
In the Age of Heroes and Villains, Hekate joined the Hero Clan and started going by her name of "Hekate" within the organization. It's unknown if she took part in the Great War.
