- In Modern Hebrew, the name Yehuda is typically pronounced and transcribed with an E. Yahuda with two A's is more characteristic of the Arabic form of the name, which is written يهوذا. The Arabic form could more commonly be found among Jews in the Arab world before most emigrated to Israel during the 20th century.
