Mondo Gecko is a supporting character in Nickelodeon 2012 Series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He's a 14-years-old mutated gecko who is a good skateboarder (but not a good fighter).
He is voiced by Robbie Rist; who also played Chōji Akimichi in the English dub of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Maroda in Final Fantasy X, and provided the voice of Michelangelo in the live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles trilogy.
Personality
He has a typical surfer personality (e.g. saying dude, gnarly, cowabunga, etc.), gets angry very easily when not called by his real name, but by that mutant name of his. Initially, he acts selfish, as FishFace says, shown when Casey fell off a building and Mondo laughed about it, even though he was going to die. However, after Mikey saves him from a falling building, he changes for the better.
Powers and Abilities
Skateboard techniques: His skating skills are excellent. Due to his practice as a human and subsequent enhancement as a mutant, he is capable of travelling high speeds since.
Tail Balance: He can use his tail as an appendage as he uses it to hold his skateboard.
Enhanced Acrobatic: Mondo possesses a high degree of agility upon mutation.
Wall Crawling: Thanks to his mutation, Mondo is capable of climbing surfaces with ease, allowing his adhesive hands to support his own weight.
History
Jason was doing stunts on his skateboard, when a Mutagen canister fell from the Kraang ship and one of them hit him on the head. After his pet gecko, Lars, climbed onto his shoulder, he transformed into a 4-foot-tall humanoid leopard gecko and was rejected on the streets by his parents. For a few months Jason performed skateboarding in the shadows, until the Kraang invasion, when FIshFace hired him as a delivery boy at Fishface, and Michelangelo was amazed by his skateboarding stunts. Jason is thus nicknamed, "World Gecko" and is taught that he is each mutant unto himself, but after FIshFace slapped him across the face, during a fight with Michelangelo and Casey, he took their side and learned his lesson, starting an indissoluble relationship between them and the others.
