Caverns

These areas are simply cave that cannot be classified into larger cave groups, meaning resources and creatures found in caves can vary.

List of Caverns

Ant Totem Cave

The Ant Totem Cave is a small cave in the Hedge biome that is filled with many Red Ant Parts, commonly on stick or made into disgusting amalgamations. It contains the recipe for the Ant Head Totem.

Ant Totem Cave

The caves entrance is located in the stone wall near the northern area of the Hedge. The entrance is in-between two bricks and is also wrapped in the roots of the Hedge. The inside is full of natural Ant Head Totems and the floors are stained in insect blood. As well as this, there is a strange amalgamation made of ant parts and human bones located on the wall of the cave. Behind a corner, there is a abandoned backpack containing 10 Ant Heads, some Brittle Marble Shards, an intern's recon journal, (Data Items) and a human skeleton

Clover Cave

The Clover Cave is a mostly submerged cave located in the Eastern Flooded Zone near the Plank Cliff area. It's unique as it holds the 4 Leaf Clover landmark.

Clover Cave

The cave starts under the waters of the Flooded Zone and extends directly downwards. It's extremely deep and dark, so it is recommended to bring a Slime Lantern and at least a Gill Tube. Near the end of the water section, is also the Chubbs Series SCA.B in a small corner of the hole. At the end, their is a room with natural light and the 4 Leaf Clover landmark. As well as this, some Supreme Quartzite and Supreme Marble can be found in the back of the main room.

Upon discovery, it will give the Coup de Grass Mutation.

Larva Cave

The Larva Cave is one of the larger caverns found in Grounded and is also the only cave to contain a specific Landmark. The area is blocked off by Acorns and leads down into a larger chamber, blocked off by a Cracked Rock. In the chamber are many Larva that will commonly be found sleeping and will attack the player upon being provoked.

Larva Cave

The caves main entrance is located in the bottom of Spade Gulch and the entrance is blocked by Acorns and a Cracked Rock, as well as being commonly patrolled by Bombardier Beetles. Along with this, a secondary entrance is located in a remote area in the Grasslands nearby not too far from the main entrance and resembles a anthill like structure, though it is also blocked from a good portion of the cave by a Cracked Rock. The cave extends downwards from the Spade Gulch entrance to a chamber that holds a Field Station and a sub-path that leads to a underwater section that holds a SCA.B Theme. Continuing forward is a Cracked Rock in which behind is a swarm of sleeping Larva inside a large chamber. Past it holds the secondary entrance which is not blocked from the main chamber, so entering this way may be risky.

Wire Cave

The Wire Cave is a special cavern that contains the wire for one of three lasers the player needs to activate at the start of the game. This cave contains many common materials in caverns such as Pebblets and Slime Mold Stalks, but is the only cave to naturally spawn Lawn Mites as well as being the only one to hold Sprig or Plant Fibers in the map.

Wire Cave

The Wire Cave is located below the southern wire located near the Grasslands and is one of the faulty lasers that will be flickering once the player reaches a large wire, with many Lawn Mites chewing on the wire that must be killed to fix the laser. At the end of the cave is a wall of Pebbles that, when broken, leads to a chamber with a hole with light coming through as well as some foliage below. This cave also contains a SCA.B Scheme.
