A guild is a collection of players who work together to achieve goals and play through content together. Normally found in MMORPGs, there are several types of guilds that usually have a specific focus:
- Social/casual guilds - these guilds normally have a more laidback approach to the game and fits many casual playstyles.
- PvP - these guilds focus on player vs. player content.
- RP - these guilds tend to focus more on roleplaying.
- Endgame/Raiding - these guilds focus on endgame content and may run difficult max level and large group content.
- Bank - the sole purpose of these guilds is to provide extra storage slots for players, usually only consisting of a character and their alts.
Depending on the game, guilds may have access to a guild bank, guild hall, or receive other benefits and perks for being a member.
