Ore

Ores are a collectible that debuts in Fire Emblem Fates, and is used to forge or repair weapons.

Profile

Ores were first introduced in Fire Emblem Fates as a type of resource available from My Castle. Ores specifically refer to the Nohrian group of resource, with the Hoshidan group being called Gemstones, but both share the same purpose of being used to forge two pairs of a weapons into one stronger weapon. Each ore or gemstone is specific to a particular kind of weapon, as an example all swords can be forged using Crystals.

After being absent in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, ore returns in Fire Emblem: Three Houses as a type of collectible for the storehouse. Much like before, ores can be used to forge weapons to a stronger version, though now it does not require a second weapon, can only be forged once, and can also be used to restore durability to a weapon. Different types of ores still exist, but now are dependent on the family of weapons rather than the weapon type. As an example, killer weapons all require Black-Sand Steel to forge or repair, but it does not make a difference if the weapon is a Killing Edge or a Killer Lance.
