Froug (フーログ, Fūrogu) is a humanoid frog-like alien fighter of the Other World, who is originally from the South Area.

Personality

He is a combat pragmatist.

Biography

Dragon Ball Z

Majin Buu Saga

Froug battles Maraikoh in the Other World Tournament and inflates his body to a massive size in an attempt to push him out of the ring. Maraikoh was however able to throw him into a meteor and out of the ring.^[2]

He later appears with numerous other fighters surrounding King Kai, Yamcha, and Krillin when the three are following Goku's battle against Kid Buu via King Kai's telepathy.^[3]

Dragon Ball GT

Froug makes a cameo appearance training under his mentor South Kai.^[4]

Film appearances

Fusion Reborn

Goku easily defeated Froug in the semifinals with one kick. Interestingly enough, the credits and the subtitles spell his name "Frogue".

Techniques and Special Abilities

• Inflation of the Body (体を膨らます, Karada wo Fukuramasu)^[5] – Froug can inflate himself like a balloon to more than double his size.

Froug appears in Buu's Fury. Although he is dead, Froug lacks a halo during his brief Other World Tournament scene in the game.
