The South Area,[1] better known as the South Galaxy (南の銀河 Minami no Ginga) (which can alternatively be translated as South Galaxies), is the Southern Quadrant of Universe 7 in the Dragon Ball franchise. It is the territory that is home to a near countless number of planets with life forms.[2]
The ruler god of this area is South Kai.
Overview
The South Area has made appearances throughout Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Z movies. It is mentioned in Dragon Ball Z: Wrath of the Dragon that in 226 Before Age, the Hirudegarn war took place in the South Area, on a planet named Konats.
Super Saiyan A-type Broly attacked South Galaxy (while under Paragus' influence by his mind control device) before and during the events of Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan.
