Mitsuo Suwa (須羽満夫 Suwa Mitsuo) or popularly known as Perman (パーマン Pāman) is a minor cameo character in the Doraemon series, and is a superhero.
The character comes from his own manga series titled Perman, also by Fujiko F Fujio.
Appearance
Perman's appearance is the same as the original show Perman: wearing a cape, helmet and a calling badge. He has an invulnerable suit which he uses in the comic book Perman - 251.
Personality
Mitsuo, like Nobita, is lazy but gets less zero in his tests than Nobita, However, unlike Nobita he has a cocky attitude and overestimates himself. His personality remains the same as a superhero as he tries to act brave, bold and courageous in front of others. He generally fails disappointingly in being one.
History
In Doraemon series, Perman mostly only made several cameos and mentioned by other characters. According to Sumire Hoshino, who's also known as "Pako" in Perman series, he has been traveling to somewhere very far away from Japan for over 3 years, hinting that he is currently traveling around in the galaxy to maintains peace from the evildoers.
In the 2013 TV special of 2005 series, Perman was called by Dorami to help Nobita cure Doraemon. He was later seen talking to Nina before waving goodbye to Nobita. Excluding the 1980 crossover special, this marks as Perman's first and only proper appearance in Doraemon series so far.

They were friends in the Perman series as Sumire Hoshino was Pako. They used to love each other in that series. Sumire carries Mitsuo's picture in her locket which see saw to Nobita.
