Wade Eiling

Wade Eiling is The General, an officer in the U.S. Army with an intense dislike of super-heroes. Originally he worked on Project Atom with Heinrich Megala, becoming responsible for the creation of Captain Atom and Major Force. Later he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and had his mind placed in the body of the Shaggy Man. In this new identity he assembled the Ultramarine Corps and fought the Justice League. He has been a member of the Injustice Gang, the Secret Society of Super-Villains and the Suicide Squad.

General Eining was created by Joe Gill and Steve Ditko, first appearing in Space Adventures (Volume 2) #33 (1960). He was adapted for the post-Crisis DC Universe as Wade Eiling by Cary Bates and Pat Broderick, first appearing in Captain Atom (Volume 2) #1 (1987).
