WARNING! |
Aja (アジャ Aja?) is a Sumerian and a fighter, alongside her allies Banga, Tome, and Bamora, against the Kur who have invaded her planet.
Appearance
Like all the other Sumerians, she possesses two antennas on top of her head and she wears the standard metal armor for their army. Her dark hair is buzzed down and she possesses two pearl earrings, one on each ear. She weighs more than the regular soldier as even Tome jokes about her weight. Her eyes are never seen due to her lashes covering them and both of her cheeks appear to have a diagonal scar going towards her mouth. She wears a dark lipstick.
While on the spaceship, her forehead, jaw and cheeks are convered by bandages.
Personality
Just like Tome, Aja is a cheerful and optimistic lady who treats Bamora like her child. Upon Banga making a really young Bamora cry, she stares at her with disappointment. She gets nervous when they don't find any sumerians at the meeting point and she shows her bravery while she protects Banga and Bamora during their escape. Admiring Tome's resolve to go and see the ocean before dying, she happily joins her and leave with a smile despite knowing that they might fall in a desperate battle. Once Bamora goes to check on a heavily injured Banga, Aja picks her up with force, shouting that Banga is done for and Bamora needs to live as she's the child of all the Sumerians. The fact that Aja along with Tome put their lives on the line to ensure her safe escape is proof of their love towards the kid.
Background
Invasion of Sumer
Upon the alien invasion initiated by the globalists dubbed as the Kur, Aja joined an all-female resistance group to fight against them, with her main partners during the war being Banga and Tome. After Banga complains having to clean up after Bamora, a girl she had rescued off from the battlefield, her and Tome laugh at her impulsive choice to pick her up, since she will now have to care of her as her savior whether she likes it or not.
Years later, Aja, Banga, Tome, and Bamora set forth with their regiment towards the West to rendezvous with a faction of Sumerian survivors. Upon their arrival, however, they discovered that their destination was a trap orchestrated by the Kur, who launched an ambush on the group. Ultimately, the four of them emerged as the only survivors, managing to escape the chaos and find refuge in a nearby cave. Tome desires to see the ocean before facing her inevitable demise, so Aja accompains her and the two make a final stand against the Kur until they reach their goal. Later, Banga and Bamora joined them after Banga had a revelation, realizing they could utilize the Sumerian transportation pyramid to relocate to the Sumerians' second home, Idea. Although they successfully arrived at the site, turmoil erupted when a male Sumerian freed by Bamora was shot by the Kur, inciting panic among the other male Sumerians. Faced with no alternative, the four were compelled to fight their way to the pyramid. During the struggle, Banga was incapacitated by missiles while attempting to shield Bamora, prompting Tome and Aja to cover for her. However, they soon found themselves overwhelmed by the Kur. Following Banga's activation of a Sumerian god exosuit, which inspired the enslaved male Sumerians to join the fight, Tome and Aja provided cover for Bamora, ensuring her safe passage to the pyramid.
Following Bamora's use of the warp gate, Banga is approached by the Kur's advance unit and their leader threatens to reprogram a wounded Aja's mind, as in torture, if she does not activate the mechanism of the royal slab which can only be used by sumerians.
