Liu Zhang

Liu Zhang (刘彰), also known as AK, is a Chinese rapper, singer and songwriter under W8VES, 88rising, and AKOOLMAN. He is a former member of INTO1.

He is known for being a contestant on the reality survival show Rap For Youth and Produce Camp 2021.

Career

2020: Rap for Youth, W8VES

He participated in the Bilibili survival reality show Rap for Youth which first aired August 22, 2020. He was eliminated on the eighth episode within the top 25 contestants. Shortly after the show, although not placing within the top eight, he was still offered to sign with W8VES as an exclusive artist.[1]

2021-2023: CHUANG 2021, INTO1

In 2021, he took part in Tencent Video's survival show Produce Camp 2021. On April 24, he ranked 11th place and joined the eleven-member project boy group INTO1 under Wajijiwa Entertainment.

On April 24, 2023, INTO1 disbanded after their contract had ended. He returned to W8VES and 88rising to continue his promotions as a solo artist.

2024: AKOOLMAN

On December 8, he collaborated with 88rising to launch his own label AKOOLMAN.[2]
