Makiko Midori (碧 麻紀子 Midori Makiko) is a minor supporting character in Cardcaptor Sakura. She is a literature teacher at Tomoeda Elementary School of Sakura and her classmates.

Makiko is shown to be an older woman with a fuller build. She has slightly wavy grey hair that is parted in the middle and pulled behind the head into a neat, low bun.

Etymology
- Her given name Makiko consists of "hemp" (麻) (ma), "chronicle" (紀) (ki), and "child" (子) (ko), which ties into her being a teacher and continues CLAMP's theme of plants and flowers being part of a character's name.
- Makiko's surname Midori means "green, blue" (碧)
