Nab and Nod is a city or a collective of two cities of the southern continent. It is the eighth of twelve minor cities – all found between Padora and the Temple of Travellers' Repose, and all north of the equator – which the greatly-reduced Black Company rapidly passed through in Shadow Games. This occurred during their southward journey toward their fabled origin of Khatovar after the Battle of the Barrowland.
Slight is the nearest city to its north, and Boros is the nearest city south of Nab and Nod. Since Croaker specified that Boros is the northernmost city to be visited "only by One-Eye previously," by deduction this means Nab and Nod is the southernmost city where Goblin could have enlisted in the Company.
Croaker records nothing distinctive about Nab and Nod in his Annals except that it was located where the world "became warmer and the cities became more scattered." He also wrote that its name, as well as the names of Tire, Raxle, and Slight, "faded to legend and memories from the Annals" since the historical Black Company had passed through this region more than a century before.
